A two-team scoreboard in your pocket
Board games, table tennis, darts, volleyball, trivia nights, chess club matches — anywhere two sides compete, someone is keeping score. This online score counter gives both teams their own card: an editable name, a large score in bright digits, a big +1 button, and a long-press undo for over-enthusiastic scoring. On a phone the cards stack vertically; on a tablet or desktop they sit side by side so both scores stay visible at once.
The default names are Home and Away, but tap either name to relabel it — Alice vs Bob, Lions vs Bears, Us vs Them. Renames are saved instantly, so the scoreboard is ready to go again next session. Because each team's controls are separate, the scorekeeper can sit on either side and still reach both plus buttons.
Fair, fast, and remembered between games
Every point is one tap, with optional click sound and vibration confirming it registered. Subtracting a point requires a deliberate half-second hold, which keeps a bumped phone from quietly changing the score mid-game. Resetting works the same way — hold to zero, only when you actually mean it.
Both scores are stored in your browser the moment they change, so a locked screen or dead battery does not end the match record. When the game is over, export both teams' final scores as a two-row CSV file, or just reset and start the next match. No accounts, no setup, nothing to configure beyond the team names.
Built for the sideline
Scorekeeping happens in the worst conditions for software: bright sun, one free hand, and everyone watching the scoreboard instead of the game. That is why the digits are huge and high-contrast, the plus buttons are the largest elements on the page, and every tap confirms itself with a click or a buzz. You can score a whole match without ever reading a menu.
The undo hold deserves a mention, because every scorekeeper eventually awards a point by mistake. Half a second of deliberate pressure takes it back — visible in a progress bar, impossible to trigger by dropping the phone on the bench. Games end, resets happen, and the counter is ready for the next one before the teams are.
